OHSU 10th Annual Multicultural Health, Science, and Engineering Career Conference this February the 19th at 8:00am - 4:00pm in the OHSU Old Library Auditorium. OHSU invites college students interested in pursuing a career in the health care, science, and engineering professions to attend our educational and interactive conference. Join us for an opportunity to encourage diverse students to enter the health and science professions, provide students with insight on health care and science professions in medicine, nursing, dentistry, allied health, engineering, biomedical informatics, dietetics and nutrition and pharmacy. Also, provide admission processes and other elevant information, introduce students to OHSU educational programs, faculty, facilities and resources, and promote bicultural/bilingual prospective health and science providers. Altius Personal Essay Seminar This event will be Tuesday February 9th at 7:00p-8:00 in SMSU 294. If you plan on applying to medical/graduate school this year, your personal essay statement is something you should be thinking about now. This will be a very useful and informative event. The event is free to anybody who wishes to attend. Refreshments will be provided. The flier with more information can be found here.
Altius MCAT Practice Exam This is a complete MCAT practice test which is being hosted by Altius. Space is limited for this event and if you want to attend be sure to RSVP be sending an email to info@altiustestprep.com. This event will be Saturday, February 13th at 10:00am - 3:00pm in Cramer Hall Basement, Room 1. Please be sure to RSVP by emailing info@altiustestprep.com or by calling (435) 671-5783. Mark your calendars early for our annual Pre-Health Fair. It will be from 10am to 2pm on Monday, April 19, 2010. This is one of the largest events of the year, hosting more than 50 schools (graduate, medical, nursing, professional, etc.) from around the country and many representatives from Portland area volunteer organizations. This is a wonderful opportunity where the school comes to you! It will be a great time to get information form the schools and ask questions directly to the admissions reps. If you are interested in becoming a physician, nurse, physician’s assistant, pharmacist, chiropractor, optometrist, or any member of the allied-health care field, this is a must attend event— don’t pass up this valuable opportunity
